About Us

Originally from Atlanta, Dr. Nancy Irwin was trained as an opera singer. She received her Bachelor and Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from West Georgia University and Georgia State University, respectively. She sang extensively with local opera companies and in Carnegie Hall with the Robert Shaw Chorale, and was featured soprano soloist for the late Maestro Shaw with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on several occasions.

In 1985, Nancy moved to New York City to pursue a career as a singer and actress, but ended up with a career as a stand-up comedian. She moved to Los Angeles in 1994 when she heard Hollywood was looking for more blondes.:) She performed all over the country and abroad, appeared on Comedy Central, and was a frequent performer and emcee at the Improv Comedy Club on Melrose. As a comic, she only worked about 30 minutes a day, and soon took up volunteer work in the community to relieve boredom. Nancy had an epiphany while working with the sexually abused adolescents at Children of the Night. This prompted her to leave the world of entertainment and pursue a doctorate in psychology.

Dr. Irwin considers it a privilege to use the powerful tool of therapeutic hypnosis to help people triumph over obstacles, turn dreams into reality, gain memory improvement, find freedom from addictions, transform their lives, acquire confidence, achieve goals, enhance creativity, heal emotional wounds, and recover from the trauma of child sexual abuse.

Dr. Irwin is also a certified practitioner of Emotion Free Therapy, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and Time Line Therapy. She assesses each individual client and tailors a personal treatment program using the most effective means to get rapid relief.
